This popular annual event, attracting adult and youth drama groups from across the area, starts tonight (Thursday) at the Princess Theatre – with the Rollason Stage School (youth) and Hunstanton Community Players (adult) taking to the stage.

The programme continues on Friday, Saturday and again on Sunday afternoon before the results are announced on Sunday evening.

Friday’s schedule starts at 7pm with Watlington Young Players (youth) and continues with Methwold Theatre Club (adult) and King’s Lynn Players (adult); on Saturday afternoon you can see Garboldisham ADS (adult) at 2.30pm followed by Wisbech Players); on Saturday evening at 7pm Garboldisham ADS (adult) return with a second play followed by Wisbech Players (adult) and Downham ADS (adult); the final two plays on Sunday, both in the youth section, are by Rollason Stage School at 2.30pm followed by Garboldisham ADS.

After each session, the adjudicators will talk briefly about each play and how well each team achieved their objectives.

Full written adjudications will be issued to each group after the event.

Trophies will be awarded within different categories including Best Original Script, Best Play and Best Actor/Actress at the end of the last Sunday performance.
