Explore the shadowy, deceptive world of the femme fatale, the hard-boiled detective and the duped husband in the company of James Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall and Barbara Stanwyck.

Film noir has a special place in the hearts of movie-goers and these 1940s and 50s films are enduringly popular.

Discover how this genre still lives on today in colour noir and neo noir in, for example, David Lynch’s Blue Velvet and Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner.

Sue Burge, King’s Lynn Community Cinema Club’s education officer, is giving a Day Course on Film Noir on Saturday, December 6, from 10-4.30pm at the Friends’ Meeting House in Lynn.

It costs £20 on the door but you need to book a place by either phoning Sue on 01553 692798 or e-mailing communitycinemaclub@googlemail.com
