Prepare to be taken back in time at King’s Lynn Arts Centre through the work of Peter Swann in Things I Like on display from tomorrow.
Inspired by objects which evoke memories, Peter puts together compositions of carefully considered items to create narratives. With each frame acting as a portal to a different era, the viewer is encompassed into another lifestyle beyond what we know now.
For those of an older generation, the works will spark memories from their youth, whilst young children will find interest in the curious components of each piece.
Also starting tomorrow is an exhibition of ceramics by Paul Ebbens, entitled Washed.
Next Friday, Paul delivers a clay workshop called Mugs and Slabs, where you can have a go at making your own slab mugs and graffito tiles. The workshop is from 10am-4pm. Tickets are £30 per person on Eventbrite or by contacting the Arts Centre on 01553 779095. Spaces are limited to 10 people.
