For those in Downham, there will be plenty to keep you busy this November at the library, with a host of talks, groups and events for all ages.
Scrabble Club will be running on Tuesday November 4 and 18, from 1-3pm, while Knit and Natter will be on Wednesdays, November 5 and 19, from 1.30pm to 3pm.
Fix It Friday will be on Friday, November 7, from 10am to 12pm.
Community librarian Elena Parkin said: “Interested in starting up a business? Want to turn an interest or hobby into cash, then come along and talk to someone who already has at this month’s Fix it Friday event. No need to book just pop in.”
Make some festive Christmas Decorations on Tuesday, November 11, from 1-3pm.
Elena said: “If you’d like the make some decorations ready for the festive season why not come along to this session, materials are provided and booking is essential. Please note this event is part of the Downham Market Library Friendship group session and so £1 will be payable on arrival.”
Monday, November 17, will see Norfolk’s First World War Archaeology, a talk by Claire Bradshaw from Norfolk Historic Environment Service, taking place from 2pm. Booking is essential, tickets cost £2.
Elena said: “If you’d like an introduction to shopping online ready for Christmas, then pop in for our Shopping Online session. Sessions starts at 1.30pm on Tuesday, November 25, but pop in for a coffee beforehand.
Please note this event is part of the Downham Market Library Friendship group session and so £1 will be payable on arrival.
