Family pantomime fun is guaranteed when Fadlos, the Fakenham and District Light Operatic Society, stage Dick Whittington at the Community Centre.

This production, sponsored by Dempsey Heating Ltd, opens on Tuesday and continues nightly at 7.30pm through to Saturday, December 12, and there is also a 2.30pm matinee on the Saturday.

A traditional and exciting tale, the young Dick Whittington arrives in London to see if the streets are paved with gold, but gets caught up in an awful situation with King Rat, Alderman Fitzwarren and barrels of treacle bound for Morocco!

The role of King Rat is being played by YouTube and television star Sam Sadler, who has found recent success with his YouTube videos in general observations and how to treat a lady, seeing him on several television programmes.

Comedy duos, fluttering fairies, Diva Sultanas and an array of incredible Dame dresses and wigs coupled with toe tappings songs and energetic dance routines are all in store.

Tickets are £6 stalls and £7.50 raised seating; the box office is at Sweets ‘n’ Things in Oak Street, Fakenham, call on 01328 855172; you can also book online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/fadlos

Fadlos and Fadlos Kidz were invited to sing at the Tesco store on Saturday, from 11am-3pm, with some of the pantomime cast taking part as well as some younger members.

They were presented with a cheque from Tesco for £250 and raised another £368 with a bucket collection and tombola and Fadlos says a big “thank-you” to Tesco and the customers who gave so generously.

Auditions are also underway for the 2016 shows Legally Blonde and the Fadlos Kidz show The Phantom of the Opera.
