Tomorrow night will see the first of Festival Too’s acts taking to the stage for another summer packed with top musical talents and family entertainment.

Kicking off the proceedings for 2014, the Festival will see plenty of free street entertainment for the whole family, which will be happening throughout the town centre during the day.

From 8pm, the action then moves to the more historic part of the town, in King Staithe Square where food stalls, children’s rides and plenty of classic tunes will be waiting to warm up the crowd.

Chairman Derek Harvey said: “This is going to be family fun night at the festival if the weather is good for us. There’ll be lots of rides and food stalls out for the families to enjoy.”

Providing music for the evening are nine-piece band, The Rhythm and Blues Brothers, a tribute band to perhaps the best showband of all time – The Blues Brothers. The band will be onstage from 8.30pm.

Derek said: “The Rhythm and Blues Brothers will be bringing their own brand of entertainment and there will be bowler hats and black ties available for those who want to join in the fun.

“The entertainment will continue with the annual fireworks display which is sure to go off with a bang!”

The fireworks, this year sponsored by Adrian Flux Insurance, will start at 10.30pm from the West Lynn side of the River Great Ouse.

Festival Too will continue next Friday and Saturday with acts including Katrina (formerly of Katrina and the Waves), Aswad, Jaki Graham, Sandy Lamb and a collection of top local acts and schools.
