Head to Hunstanton Town Hall on Wednesday for the last Princess Players poetry session of the season, bringing the six successful sessions to a close.

Ann Mckimm, from the group, said: “We are a friendly bunch and numbers have been growing steadily. You can read a favourite poem, launch a new one, or just sit back and listen. Entry is just £2 and delicious home-made cakes are available.

“Last month we also held a Macmillan Coffee Morning as part of the session, and managed to raise £85 for this excellent cause.”

She added: “This autumnal month our loose theme is Last Orders and we invite everyone to come along with their tributes to the First and Second World Wars both old and new, plus any other original ideas inspired by this theme.”

Running from 10.30am to 12pm in the basement room, the sessions are sponsored by Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts.

The Princess Players Poetry Mornings will return on January 21 and everyone is welcome.

n For those who are feeling charitable tonight, the Princess Players are holding their fundraising variety show at the Princess Theatre from 7.30pm. Raising funds for the BBC Appeal, tickets cost £10 and are available from the box office on 01485 532252.
