Holkham Hall on the north Norfolk coast is the place to go for a week of hauntingly good fun this Halloween.
Spooky tales from the Holkham storyteller, frightening face painting and fearsome feasts guarantee fun for all the family from this Sunday, October 25, through to Saturday, October 31.
Start your eerie adventures by hopping on board Holkham’s tractor trailer ride, The Halloween Express, which takes visitors to the walled garden. In the garden Holkham’s storyteller will be on hand to enchant with mesmerising stories, guaranteed to capture the imaginations of visitors old and young.
There will be pumpkin carving and a variety of special Halloween pumpkin-themed games and brain-teasing trails. You can go in fancy dress and let the face painting artist create gory grazes and weeping wounds. The more frightful the better, ready for you to join in the fancy dress parade to showcase the spookiest styles.
In Holkham Hall, magical gourds and fungi set the scene while visitors increase their knowledge of scary spiders and bewitching bats.
In the Old Kitchen, Kiddy Cook will be on hand to help visitors create something terrifyingly tasty. Spooky cup cake decorating will turn your little ones into spine chilling chefs. Have no fear - all the decorations are 100 per cent edible so anyone can get their fangs into something tasty at Holkham this Halloween!
