Friday night saw many people descend on Knight’s Hill Hotel in King’s Lynn for a charity music extravaganza. On the bill were Arias Echo, Phoebe & Jay, Pirate Joe and closing the evening, Jessie’s Ghost.

As well as the music, there was a raffle, a silent auction and a live auction later in the evening.

The local charities chosen were Papworth Hospital, West Norfolk Carers and West Norfolk MIND, with the proceeds being divided equally between each one.

Local businesses donated numerous prizes for the raffle, and among the lots available at the auction was a signed Linnets shirt, a signed Norwich City shirt, framed cartoons from local artist Jason Aldred, a team signed Liverpool FC shirt, and another shirt signed by the Liverpool striker Divock Origi.

This was put on again due to the success of last year’s event, and by all accounts this year was even more successful, with a final total of just over £7,000 raised to be split between the charities.

Not only was it a resounding success though, the evening was wholly enjoyable from start to finish too.

The volunteers, organisers and everyone else involved with the planning and preparation of the evening did an amazing job of bringing things together and making sure everything went off without a hitch, and making sure everyone had a good time.
