Next Friday, a brand new Messy Church event will be held in North Runcton for families to join in a range of Christmas-themed crafts and activities, with plenty of festive food.
Organised by the team at St Mary’s Church in West Winch, the event comes after the inauguration of Reverend Riaz back in April.
Since then, the team have been developing events for the church and are keen to create more opportunities for children, teenagers and adults to come together to share in fun, celebration, friendship and food.
The event is planned to run regularly, every other month.
One of the organisers, Beate Knights, said: “Everybody is welcome, friends or families. Everybody is invited – children, teenagers, adults. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the entire event.
“Messy Church provides fun, crafts, celebration time and food. We will provide activities with a Christmas theme.”
Taking place at The Scout Hut, Chequers Lane, in North Runcton, from 4.30-6pm next Friday. A small donation is asked for the cost of the food, which is provided for children and adults.
