A West Norfolk band has been signed by a multi-platinum producer to his brand new record label after being given the opportunity to record their upcoming album with him.

The Brink have spent the last few weeks working with
Dito Godwin, who has worked with the likes of KISS, Motley Crue and No Doubt, after he spotted their talent and flew to the UK to start work with them immediately.

They have been working on the band’s debut self-titled album, which is to be released later this year, at the renowned Sensible Sound studios in London, where Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and Elton John previously worked.

After a successful few weeks working with Dito, The Brink have been chosen to be the flagship band for Dito’s brand new record label,
EC3 Records.

Gary Connor, bassist, said: “We are very excited,
after many years of hard
work chasing a dream we really believed in, it’s great to have been given this opportunity.

“None of this would be possible without all the
support we have received across the country but especially the support we have received here where all this began.”

Dito said: “The label will not specialize in a particular genre of music, but will sign great artists with great material and concentrate on each release as it happens.

“We are currently considering artists in the UK, but will soon expand our search worldwide.”

These alternative guitar-driven rockers were discovered by Dito through a friend, one-time Geffen and MCA promotions man Pete Bassett, when he visited London. The producer was so impressed with their powerful musicianship, dynamic image and loyal, growing local fan base that he immediately began co-writing and producing nine new songs with them.

The Brink have been a huge part of Lynn and West Norfolk’s music scene for several years as they gigged regularly across the area. They even became joint-winners of KLFM and Twisted Melon Promotions’ Battle of the Band’s competition last year, which saw them performing in front of thousands at by the annual Festival Too in Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place.
