Home grown talent, Under The Influence, will return to Lynn’s Festival Too this July just weeks after their unique brand of rock music was signed by Hassle Records.
The record company is celebrating a decade of working with up-and-coming UK rock artists and the signing of five-piece band, Under The Influence, shows they remain at the forefront of breaking trends.
The label have already brought artists including Fall Out Boy, Brand New and Alexisonfire to these shores and nurtured UK talents We Are The Ocean, Blitz Kids and signing Lonely The Brave.
Now Under The Influence’s unique brand of rock music, blended with rap and metal, will be brought directly to the masses by Hassle Records.
The band are soon to premiere the video for their first single proper, Broken Glass, taken from their forthcoming debut album The Struggle, which is to be released later this year.
Frontman Jack Murphy, said: “The song tells a story about karma that we feel strongly about. It is about a personal experience that we as a band have faced a few times, and how sometimes it’s not always right to show anger towards someone you do not get along with.
“As humans we are all guilty of this and it’s up to us to change.”
Formed in 2010, the band are home-town favourites, appearing regularly on BBC Radio Norfolk, but have also been played by the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Phil and Alice. Their track, VS The World, is also used by TNA Wrestling’s first English Heavyweight Champion Magnus as his well-known entry music.
The band has supported a diverse selection of acts such as UK buzz band Hacktivist, metallers Bury Tomorrow, US rock group Thousand Foot Krutch, as well as supporting ska punk outfit Sonic Boom Six on their UK tour.
Lynn fans can see them perform live and free on the final night of Festival Too on Saturday, July 12, alongside artists including Scouting For Girls and Jake Morrell.
