A medieval adventure complete with puppetry, live-music and audience interaction is coming to the Princess Theatre in Hunstanton.

Moon On A Stick’s presentation “King Arthur & The Inglewood” is on tour this summer and stops off for two Hunstanton performances on Tuesday, August 9, and Tuesday, August 23, both at 1pm.

To the court of King Arthur, in the Golden Age of Camelot comes a mysterious knight. Meeting in the enchanted forest, he demands justice for the loss of his lands. He sets the King the ultimate challenge, to uncover what it is that women most desire.

Embarking on a mystical quest the audience will meet a jolly jester, a naughty little piglet and a beautiful green dragon but will any of them help him find the answer?

Known for their modern take on traditional folk stories, Moon On A Stick brings a unique fusion of puppetry and live action. They combine engaging story-telling and exciting visuals, to create an unforgettable fable for ages five years and over.

The production is based on the folk tale of the Green Knight, written by Gabrielle Malcolm and directed by Venetia Twigg.

Moon On A Stick perform throughout London and beyond and the company has received funding from the Arts Council.

Tickets are priced at £12.50 adults, £10.50 for children, or a family ticket costs £42. Call the box office on 01485 532252 or visit www.princesshunstanton.co.uk

The company is based in Norfolk and the team make all their own puppets using a variety of methods.

They say: “We are always experimenting with how to make our puppets so that they look great but are also puppeteer-friendly. This is an ongoing process and each time we work with new puppeteers and new puppets we learn and adapt.”
