Kicking off the spooky Halloween happenings a little early this year, Lynn’s Community Cinema Club is celebrating its fifth successful year with a special film screening.

Tonight, they will be showing a double-bill of Murnau’s stunning 1922 silent classic Nosferatu, followed by Nicole Kidman in 2001’s psychological ghost story, The Others.

All the club’s films are shown in St George’s Guildhall, at Lynn’s Arts Centre, and this double-bill starts at 7pm.

You need to be a member to see these films, but it is very easy to join, email communitycinemaclub@googlemail.com for information. New members are welcome at any time, and a six-month membership is a bargain at £30 as you can bring two guests along to the monthly film screenings.

The club also organises social events such as quizzes, outings and meals and is organising a special event on November 13, which will reproduce what it was like to go to the cinema 100 years ago.
