Returning to Hunstanton’s Princess Theatre this July, and bringing with them their latest hit show every Thursday afternoon, are two of Norfolk’s finest masters of mirth.
Olly Day and Nigel ‘Boy’ Syer will bring a great afternoon’s entertainment each week as they come together for this special summer show – If It’s Laughter You’re After.
Both Nigel and Olly have performed in Sunny Hunny before and they are looking forward to returning with a fun-filled afternoon of music, comedy songs and some fabulous magic.
Olly said: “The Princess Theatre is one of the gems of Norfolk. Whenever I perform there its like coming home – every seat has a great view and when you’re on stage the laughter comes at you in waves. ”
As Norfolk’s funniest accordionist, Nigel has built up a huge following all over East Anglia by performing his own brand of comedy and country songs. He’ll be joined by comedian and magician, Olly Day, who has spent the last five years at the end of Cromer pier, starring in their Christmas show.
Nigel said: “We are having such fun with the show this year. After performing on my own for so long it’s great to be part of a double act.
“It gives us the chance to do so many other sketches and comedy songs. The audiences are loving it too!”
Norfolk’s newest talent is their special guest, Maria Willis, is a young singer from Wroxham, who is making her Hunstanton debut.
She recently performed on stage in Norwich in The Phantom of the Opera and will be showcasing songs from the world of pop as well as her favourite classical arias.
Both Nigel and Olly have been performing to packed houses in Gorleston and Cromer and wanted to bring their show over to the other side of Norfolk this summer.
Matinees started yesterday and will run on July 10, 17 and 24. Tickets cost £13 and are available from Olly on 07860 942500 or Nigel on 07974 531820.
