A Sutton Bridge drummer will be among a group of musicians who are set to hit the Holkham Hall stage in front of a 10,000 audience as they support Status Quo on Saturday, August 23.

Walkway have already supported the likes of The Darkness, Black Stone Cherry and Bernie Marsden of White Snake on tour, and have no plans to slow down with their second album due out later this year.

Drummer Joe Evans, 24, will be joined by lead guitarist James Ready, 20, lead vocalist Chris Ready, 22, and bass guitarist Alex Rosedale, 23, all three from Redgrave.

The band said: “We have been working with a music publisher recording our second album since last November, recording our own material written by brothers Chris and James, with other songwriters from Los Angeles and Europe.”

The band are also due to be shooting the video for the first single release from their new album soon, which is due to be released in August.

They have been hard at work with a cinematographer who has previously worked on films including Iron Man 1 and 2, Dredd and Final Destination.

The band said: “He has also shot videos for the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, says he likes our material and is looking forward to working with us to create this video.”

Walkway have a huge local and national fan base who will support them as they play more than 120 gigs across the country this summer, with some in Europe, and the band are tipped by many as a breakthrough band for this year.

Tickets cost £35 if booked before July 31, £40 from August 1.
