Swaffham Players are putting the finishing touches to their next production, Noel Coward’s timeless supernatural comedy Blithe Spirit.

This will be staged at The Barn Theatre in Swaffham on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 18-20, nightly at 7.30pm.

And there is a new twist for an old favourite in this production: Players’ stalwart Rodger Bilverstone is the old favourite and the twist is that he is playing the part of the clairvoyant Madame Arcati in the play.

This is a new departure for Rodger – pictured right – but he is in good company with such notables as David Walliams, David Suchet and Craig Revel Horwood taking iconic women’s roles in recent times.

He is joined on stage by Vic Tucker, Maureen Silver, Stuart Travis, Nicky Dawkins, Sue Baxter and Marcie Loan. Marcie is also directing the production with the assistance of John Hooker.

Tickets are available now from Brian Hubbard on 01760 721899 or from the Green Parrot in Swaffham.
