The next production by The Old School House community theatre group at Swaffham (TOSH) will be the hilarious farce Murder Afoot! by Knut Naerum.

This will be performed (by permission of Stagescripts.com) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 19-21, nightly at 7.30pm at their new venue Stanley’s, in Lynn Street, Swaffham, opposite the Horse and Groom.

Tickets at £8 are now on sale and available from Vicky at 01760 336006.

This play takes the audience back to the spring of 1936. Titus Platt has worked all his life to protect his shoe-manufacturing empire from the shark-infested woods and lurking spies and Bolsheviks – all for the sake of his flighty daughter and petulant son, whose name he is not even sure of.

When he suddenly receives a threat from the notorious thief The Black Fox, dark secrets begin to surface from among his family and servants.

Who is not exactly what they seem?

Who is willing to murder for the inheritance?

Where do a French night-club singer and a new chauffeur fit in?

Why are there so many police officers involved?

Add at least one weapon, a bottle of whisky and a chess set, and everyone is a suspect!
