A joint exhibition of artwork, with the title Into the Woods and Beyond, is being held in Thornham Village Hall this weekend by Julie Spriggs and Tod Evans.
This themed exhibition is based on the idea of a journey through woods, across fields and down to the sea.
Julie, who uses acrylics on canvas, said: “At the moment my passion with painting is all about trees in the landscape.” She will also showcase her delicate hand-painted silk scarves and bold collagraph and lino-prints inspired by the natural world found along the North Norfolk coast.
Tod, an art tutor at Norfolk Creative Arts in Grimston, works across a variety of drawing and painting media and has found it invigorating to focus on landscapes. She said: “I have used this opportunity to work freely and introduce elements of abstraction.”
The artists hope visitors will enjoy the experience of displayed artwork leading them on a journey, pausing to appreciate flora and fauna along the way.
The exhibition on Saturday and Sunday is open from 10am-5pm and there is free admission.
