The 12th Lynn scout group celebrated its 75th anniversary in style – by joining in the Giant Sleepover event, held to raise money for Save the Children.
The mammoth event was aiming to result in the world's largest simultaneous sleepover and raise in excess of £50,000, to help child victims of the cyclone which hit Burma last month.

More than 50,000 nationally were due to have taken part in the sleepover which took place on Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15.

Locally, 60 beavers, cubs and scouts stayed overnight at the former social club premises at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Lynn, from 7pm to 11am.

"We had a barbecue and karaoke," said assistant beaver leader Mrs Tracey Clark.

Anyone wanting to join the group or find out more should contact Andy Farr on 01553 679211.
