Members of Denver Youth Club enjoyed their annual barbecue on Monday at Denver playing field.
The club, started more than 30 years ago, has 42 members aged between eight and 15 who either come from Denver, Ryston, Roxham or Fordham or have had an association with Denver Voluntary Controlled Primary School.

The club meets fortnightly between September and May at Denver Village Hall and is mostly sports-based, covering activities like table tennis, snooker, darts and pool.

There are also craft and cookery sessions, and music workshops.

The barbecue rounds off the season when there are games and yearly presentation of competition prizes.

"We had a good time and the weather held out for us," said club secretary Ms Susanne Johnson thanking Downham's Thornhill butchers, John's butchers and Tesco for barbecue donations.

Members of the College of West Anglia Outdoor Pursuits team brought along their climbing wall with other activities, including football.
