Lynn man Jamie Sampson had a 30th birthday to remember when a party was laid on for him at the Masonic Centre in North Lynn.
Mr Sampson, senior salesman at Thurlow Nunn in Campbells Meadow, thought he was going to someone else's party on Saturday, February 7, but arrived to find the party poppers were for him instead!
"He was a little bit surprised!" said wife Nicola (34), who added around 100 people attended the event, including family, friends and colleagues.
There was a bar and buffet, and dancing to local band Monkey See, Monkey Do.
To add the icing on the cake, the guests included Mr Sampson's brother Anders and sister Kayley from Denmark.
"He had a lovely time," said Mrs Sampson, of Friars Street.
