60 years since the closure of RAF Bircham Newton

More news, no ads

It is 60 years since the closure of the former RAF station at Bircham Newton but memories linger on.

The Heritage Museum brings them back to life with its unique collection of memorabilia from the base, its wartime role and its satellite airfields at Docking and Langham.

It holds regular open days and on Sunday it is planning a special anniversary event to mark the six decades since the closure in 1962.
