A tractor ride to farm for Snettisham Bobtail Playgroup youngsters in 1999

In our weekly ‘Memory Lane – Schooldays’ feature, we look back at a nursery school trip in 1999...

A tractor ride to see red deer was the end-of-term expedition arranged for children from the Snettisham Bobtails Playgroup in July 1999.

Park Farm, in the village, was their destination so that the youngsters would not have far to travel from their usual meeting place in the playing field pavilion.

The playing field had been used by the children and their parents for a sponsored walk, raising funds for new equipment – and it was also the venue for the annual sports day when all the children won a medal and a certificate.
