All clear for Reffley Preschool in 2001

Our weekly 'Memory Lane Schooldays' feature looks at a pre-school getting new windows back in 2001...

Steamy windows were a thing of the past at Reffley Preschool, Lynn, in March 2001 – thanks to a £2,190 grant from the National Lottery.

Supervisors Carolyn Hemsby and Debbie Overy, the 57 children, parents and helpers all noticed the difference since nine wood-framed windows were replaced with modern plastic double-glazing.

Miss Hemsby said: “It’s cured our condensation problems – we don’t come in to steamy windows and water on the sills any more. It’s also made the building warmer.”

Our picture shows the happy children and staff members outside Reffley Preschool with its new-look windows.
