November 2005: More than 100 copies of Terrington St Clement History Group’s new book were sold at its official launch at the village hall. November 2005: Narborough won an award from the Government Office for the East of England (Go-East) for its pioneering compost scheme, Compo. David Williams (left), the parish council chairman, and Tim Cara (second left) chief executive of Forward and Futures, the Lynn-based charity running Compo, show off the award to villagers and councillors.

November 2005: Reg Ward, a stalwart of Snettisham Royal British Legion branch, stepped down from his role as secretary after 15 years. Reg and his wife Margaret (left) are pictured with their gifts presented by standard bearer Tony Spinks, branch chairman Eric Herbert and president Walter Grief.

November 2002: Kathy Beale, miller at Denver Windmill, proudly shows off the new range of stoneground strong white flour produced at the mill, which extended the range up to eight different types of flour on sale.

November 2002: Children’s World Nursery at Hockwold, run by Deborah Smith (right) was officially opened just three months after being awarded £24,000 from the National Lottery’s New Opportunities Fund. Donald Duck and Pluto went along to join in the fun.

November 2002: Barsham Village Hall was transformed following a cash injection of nearly £23,000 of Lottery funding. November 2002: Tilney St Lawrence couple Rex and Barbara Grief organised a sponsored vintage tractor run which helped raise more than £1,000 for the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. This was a thank-you for the care their grandson, Gavin Barker had received. November 2002: A quiz night at Burnham Market’s Sussex Barn, fronted by TV game-show host Les Dennis, raised £7,000 for the cancer support charity Haven Trust. Les is pictured with the Norfolk branch organising committee of the charity. November 2005: Bircham sub-postmaster Phil Dennis came to the rescue after Syderstone’s post office and convenience store closed at the end of August. Mr Dennis, who already ran a mobile post office at Harpley, agreed to open up for business in Syderstone Village Hall on Wednesdays and Fridays and is pictured here with a group of delighted villagers.
