September 2010: West Norfolk duo Wayne Rees and Luke Church saw off the challenge of some of the best international carp anglers around when lifting the British Carp Angling Championship title at Broadlands in Hampshire. They landed 14 carp weighing in at 202 lbs 2ozs to scoop the title and prize money of £10,000. They were sponsored by Simon Bush of Anglers Corner of Lynn (centre), who joins Wayne (left) and Luke in our photo.
September 2009: This was the West Norfolk Rugby Club first team squad, pictured at the Gatehouse Lane, North Wootton, headquarters, ahead of the start of the new season and a clash with old rivals Wisbech.
September 2010: Pensioner and former transplant patient Malcolm Souza Lewis, from Norfolk, returned home with five medals from the British Transplant Games. He was disappointed not to pick up a gold, but had second places in tenpin bowling and badminton doubles, and bronze medals in discus, javelin and archery. He underwent two kidney transplants, the most recent in 1988.

September 2000: Meet the youngsters of Lynn Soccer School who had been rewarded for their efforts with trophies and certificates at Gaywood Junior School. The sessions were open to all five to 10-year-olds who paid £1.50 each for the two-hour Sunday morning sessions.
September 2010: Lynn Town striker Robbie Harris walks the ball into the net during the 6-1 drubbing of Daventry Town at The Walks as the Linnets went back to the top of the UCL Premier Division League.
September 2010: King William bowls team triumphed in the final of the Silver Jubilee League’s Subsidiary Cup, powering to a 95-58 success over Wootton Park in the match played at The Globe green. King William won three blocks and the fourth was drawn.
September 2010: These were the West Norfolk Netball League winners pictured at the annual meeting and end-of-season presentations at Lynnsport. It had been another good year for Bassetts Green, with two titles.
September 2010: Job training agency Action for Employment (A4e) announced sponsorship of the North Lynn Discovery football team as part of its drive to help people back into work. The team is pictured before the start of a charity match and had invited NWN MP Henry Bellingham to explain the initiative.
