September 2010: Linnets’ midfielder Danny White sees his header brilliantly saved by Yarmouth keeper Michael Hilton in a pulsating FA Vase second qualifying round tie at The Walks. Yarmouth opened a 2-0 lead before Lynn stormed back to go through 4-3 with goals from Jack Defty (2), Steve Spriggs and Scott Cubberley.
September 2010: West Norfolk Netball League’s annual meeting and end-of-season presentations were held at Lynnsport and pictured here are the summer league winners. Bassetts Green completed a double by taking top spot in the winter and summer leagues.
September 2002: KES Community Tennis Club was going from strength to strength with good results at the county finals and also the annual Hunstanton tournament. Five club members who had celebrated success on the court are pictured at the front (from left) – Thomas Raines, Ed Cottington, Mike Hogan Freya Le Serve and Shane Spears.
September 2002: West Norfolk Rugby Club marked the start of the new season with a mini fun day at their North Wootton headquarters. More than 180 youth and mini players attended – and the bouncy castle proved a big hit.
September 2004: After much anticipation and excitement, the Lynn Fury basketball team face the camera ahead of their opening fixture in the National League Division Two at home to Nottingham Knights.
September 2014: Runners take part in a Zumba (dance/aerobic fitness) warm-up before the start of a Sandringham 10km race.
September 2002: Lynn Youth Tenpin Bowling Club members Shaun Matthews (left) and Ben Edwards hit form at the English Junior Open in Tamworth. Ben scooped second places in the singles and all events, while Shaun was third in the singles.
September 2002: Club captain Terry Hornsby and ladies captain Peggy Joplin held their joint captain’s charity Pro-Am at Lynn’s Castle Rising course. Radio Norfolk’s Roy Waller was given some tips by (from left) Barry Lockwood, Alan Keep, Stuart White and Peggy Joplin.
September 2002: World soccer skills champions Carlos Salvador Jaoa (right) and Rob Walters demonstrated their tricks for young football fans at Lynn’s two Tesco stores, including a “keepy uppy” challenge.
