In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays column we look back to World Book Day in 2014.

Imaginations ran wild for young bookworms across West Norfolk in March 2014 when they celebrated World Book Day.

Children at schools across the area dressed up as their favourite book characters, some had the chance to meet leading authors and others learnt how to write the perfect story as part of their events to mark the occasion.

Norfolk-based author Sheridan Winn, who wrote the Sprite Sisters series of children’s books, which was being developed as a television series, visited the Glebe House School at Hunstanton to present a workshop for the pupils.
