Burnham Market walk for Rudhams Preschool Playgroup, King’s Lynn Springwood High School and Macmillan Cancer Fund




All Our Yesterdays July 11: Sweet charity part two

July 1999: A marathon walk of 26 miles along country roads from the Rudhams to Burnham Market and back raised more than £500 for the Rudhams Preschool Playgroup.

July 1999: These members of the after-school drama club at Springwood High School, Lynn, raised £110 for the Macmillan Cancer Fund appeal with their production of Dear Trisha.

July 2001: A dream of providing a home from home for West Norfolk cancer patients came true with the opening of the new Macmillan Care and Treatment Centre at Lynn’s QEH.

July 1999: The sun came out and everyone went quackers at Castle Acre as 300-plus ducks and a few humans took to the water for the second National Childbirth Trust duck race on the River Nar.

July 2013: Alix Birks, of South Wootton, a leader at East Winch Tums to Tots parent and toddler group is pictured receiving an award for her commitment and work on behalf of the National Childbirth Trust.

It was presented by the charity’s regional co-ordinator, Geraldine Edgington, who pointed out that Alix, and others, had worked hard to re-establish the NCT branch in West Norfolk.
