This photograph is of King's Lynn Borough Police Force taking part in an inspection in 1955.

The Chief Constable of Norfolk is with Fred Calvert, King's Lynn’s Chief Superintendent.

They are in the new police station on St James Street built in 1954.

The event may be Remembrance Sunday as most of the officers are wearing military medals awarded for service during WWII.
