Burst water pipe resulted in a flood at Great Massingham’s Ducklings pre-school in 2012
In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature, we look back to 2012.
A burst water pipe resulted in a flood which caused around £5,000 worth of damage to Great Massingham’s Ducklings pre-school mobile classroom base at the village primary school in 2012.
But there were smiles all round six weeks later in April when the children were able to return “home” after the repair work had been carried out.
Pictured here are nursery assistant Linda Anderson (left) and the manager Pip Armitage with some of the Ducklings.
The floor had to be replaced, all the furniture was lost and most of the toys, but it was all covered by insurance. While the work was carried out, sessions were held in Great Massingham Primary School in Weasenham Lane.
