Celebration time for King’s Lynn’s St Martha’s Primary School netball players back in May 2004
In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature, we look back to a netball tournament 20 years ago…
Celebration time for these Year 5 and 6 pupils from Lynn’s St Martha’s Primary School after winning the West Norfolk Primary School netball finals in May 2004.
Held at Lynnsport, St Martha’s accounted for South Wootton by 3-2 in an exciting final which went to a sudden-death period after the teams failed to find a winner in normal time.
The competition was organised by the King Edward VII School sports partnership and the finals were sponsored by Fen-Fab Engineering.
Schools took part in three leagues between September and April, and as well as St Martha’s and South Wootton in the play-off finals, Eastgate, Marshland St James, St Michaels and Anthony Curton Schools also competed.
