Children from Blenheim Park Primary School in Sculthorpe enjoyed puppet-making workshop in 1995

In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature we go back 29 years…

Facing the Lynn News camera in December 1995 are these children from Blenheim Park Primary School in Sculthorpe.

They had been working with members of the Norwich-based Octopus Puppet Theatre when using breakfast cereal boxes, wire and sticks in a puppet-making workshop.

Class teacher Margaret Moore said: “The children made jointed human and animal puppets, wrote their own play scrips and gave a little show for the other pupils.”

Along with the rest of the school they were collecting bags of sugar for the Crisis at Christmas charity and also preparing for their own festive concert which would look at different aspects of the Christmas season.
