Holkham to host pop-up outdoor and garden fair

With the arrival of autumn, Holkham Hall is offering gardening enthusiasts a chance to pick up tips – and plants – for the seasons ahead.

Its pop-up outdoor and garden fair, which runs from 10am-4pm tomorrow (Saturday, September 24) will be in the hall's beautiful walled garden.

Dozens of stallholders will bring plants, crafts and decorative items and other gardening goodies to help create that ideal outdoor space and get gardens looking gorgeous.

Holkham’s gardeners will also be there, leading tours and giving talks, including a visit to the spectacular, newly-restored Samuel Wyatt Vinery. There will be a special gardening and activity zone for children and light refreshments available all day.

Leading nurseries will be there selling plants, shrubs, trees and perennials and other stall holders will be offering garden accessories ranging from outdoor stoves to arches, obelisks, sculptures and furniture.

Organisations planned to attend include the Woodland Trust and the Norfolk Garden Trust and Holkham's own garden volunteers will be there selling plants they have grown in the walled garden.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome to come and have a sniff at what’s on offer. Parking is complimentary at the Walled Garden and exit is via the west gates.

Admission is £5.50, children five-15 is £2.50 and a family ticket if £15.
