King's Lynn Alive Leisure hosting Man v Fat Tournament, fundraising for men's mental health 8:56 Foundation involving Peterborough, Cambridge, Grimsby, Boston, Great Yarmouth and Norwich
On Sunday, March 26, Alive Leisure will be hosting the Alive 856 Cup Man v Fat Tournament, raising money for the men's mental health 8:56 Foundation at Lynnsport, 10am-5pm.
Dean Bax from Man v Fat and the event organiser said: “We have had lots of amazing prizes donated, all proceeds raised will go to the fantastic men’s mental health charity – 8:56 Foundation.
"This charity is incredible and they reach out and help so many people! So please come along for a chance to win some great prizes and even more importantly to support the teams taking part!”
The event will include entertainment from vocalist Grace Burton, and magician Josh Maddocks.
Refreshments will be provided including a hog roast, plus Radio West Norfolk Easter Egg Appeal will be there for donations as will the British Heart Foundation who are accepting clothes donations and more!
There will be 12 teams taking part, travelling from Peterborough, Cambridge, Grimsby, Boston, Great Yarmouth, Norwich and surrounding areas.
The final is due to play at 4pm followed by a presentation by the borough mayor to the winning team around 4.30pm.
There are also some competitions on the day, including the Alive’s Fastest Shot and Keepy Uppy.
Man v Fat football is a unique network of weight loss football clubs across the UK, exclusively for men who have a BMI of 27.5 or over.
Players can score goals both on the pitch and off the pitch, as weight loss progress directly impacts the team’s performance.
They do not judge, they support, motivate and inspire.
Man v Fat King’s Lynn meet every Friday, 7pm-9pm, on the 3G pitch at Alive Lynnsport.
