Easter is Hunstanton Soap Box Derby - Love West Norfolk borough council column
Love West Norfolk by Cllr Graham Middleton, borough council deputy leader
Last month we marked our sixth Love West Norfolk Day. Residents, businesses, and organisations came together to highlight many great things about our area.
I recommend you search for the #LoveWestNorfolk hashtag to see what people had to say on the day.
Next month, at the start of the school Easter holiday, the hugely popular Soap Box Derby returns to Hunstanton.
The borough council brought the event back to the town in 2017 and this year marks 70 years since it was first held there.
You only have a few days left to register to take part, and the closing date is March 15.
I look forward to seeing the colourful hand-build karts racing down the sunny Hunny streets on April 2 and would like to encourage you to get creative with your kart building or, at the very least, come and support our many fun racers.
The Guildhall and our Alive West Norfolk venues are hosting a range of activities over the Easter break for families to enjoy and I urge you to see what’s available.
The Soap Box Derby marks the start of the borough council events season and, over the coming months, we can look forward to local celebrations to mark the Coronation of the King as well as our many well-supported summer events that encourage people into our town centres and green spaces.
