Here we have a photograph of Ladyman’s store on High Street in Lynn.

For many years, Ladyman’s was Lynn’s leading grocer, specialising in tea and coffee.

The famous teapot sign was installed in 1864 and the shop address became ‘The Tea Pot, King’s Lynn’. In the 1950s the shop employed over 70 staff but had closed down by the late 1970s.
