CiTV stars Ripley and Scuff visit pupils at Castle Acre First School to film episode in 2002

In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature, we look back to when pupils were excited about a visit from TV stars in 2002…

Children’s television stars Ripley and Scuff and their sister Strid got a rapturous reception as they arrived at Castle Acre First School in eye-catching fashion in November 2002.

The trio, in a supercharged jet car, were at the school to film one of their forthcoming CiTV episodes, spending the day with the youngsters making music, dancing and creating mayhem.

With just 41 children on the register, Castle Acre was the smallest school to be visited by Ripley and Scuff, said head teacher Karen Gay, adding: “We had a super day – the children really enjoyed themselves and the staff were just as excited as well.”
