Dersingham First School nursery pupils paid visit to Tropics Fish Bar in 2002

In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature, we look back to when youngsters from a village school paid a visit to their local chippy…

It was chips all round for Dersingham First School’s nursery pupils when they visited their local fish and chip shop in November 2002.

The children were taken to the village’s Tropics Fish Bar as part of a topic on food and are pictured here collecting portions of chips. At the back are, from left, teacher Nemonie Grummett, nursery assistant Judith Peel and the fish bar manageress Michelle Green.

In other trips to food outlets the children went to Lynn’s Pizza Express, Dersingham’s Lotus House Chinese takeaway, and also Thaxter’s Spar shop in the village to buy food to make their own fruit salad and soup.
