King's Lynn Memory Lane: Docking primary school fundraiser, Springwood, Footlights Dance Centre and Corn Exchange

More than 20 tots took to pedal power in a fundraising bicycle bonanza at Docking in June 1995.

The children, cheered on by mums and the village first school pupils, were sponsored to lap the playground as many times as they could on everything from tiny tractors to tricycles and push-alongs. All the cash raised was to go towards paying for the playgroup’s newly-opened building at Docking Primary School and it was just one of many events planned for the coming months.

Playgroup committee chairman, Belinda Cant, said: “The children really enjoyed themselves, bashing into each other as they went round the playground.” MLNF-9506228
