Memory Lane: Berol cyclists on a charity ride

By Chris Hornby

Energetic employees at Lynn pen manufacturer Berol are pictured in April 1989 setting off on a 22-mile charity cycle ride.

They set off from the Hardwick Industrial Estate on a route that took them to Stow Bridge where there was a break for refreshments before the return journey.

Berol staff had set a fundraising target of £1,000 for Guide Dogs for the Blind and thanks to the £400 collected by the cyclists were well on the way towards buying a guide dog for the charity.
