Smiles all round from these children at Crimplesham County Primary School pictured in March, 1977.
The 43 children at the school, which had opened in 1875, ranged in age from five to eleven and were kept in step by two full time and one part-time teacher. About half the children lived in Crimplesham and the rest travelled in by coach from the surrounding areas including Stradsett, North Farm and Shouldham Thorpe.
The headteacher was Mr Edwin Marais, who reported that the school had won the Peter Jarvis Cup for swimming and also the James Nourse Challenge Trophy for road safety. Photo: MLNF RC5360.
