These children at Litcham Primary School’s lower infant classes were pictured by the Lynn News in March, 1977.
The headteacher, Mr David Baldwin, had arrived at the school at the beginning of the year and considered himself lucky to have taken on such a happy school. He praised the contribution made by his predecessor, Mr J Bambridge, who had been head since the school opened in 1963.
There were a total of 100 pupils at the school and four members of staff. Many of the children travelled to school by bus which made after-school activities difficult to arrange, but a youth club had been set up which was held once a fortnight.
