Memory Lane Schooldays: Playgroup’s deer safari day trip highlight

By Chris Hornby

Feeding lambs and going on a deer safari were highlights of a trip to Park Farm, at Snettisham, for children from Lynn’s Jack and Jill Playgroup in April, 2000.

The children had been doing a lot of work on animals, including household pets and farm animals, during their sessions at the Providence Street Youth Centre.

Supervisor Sasha Jenner, (second from left) said the whole playgroup – 55 children in all – had gone on the trip and really enjoyed themselves.

Among the other staff members pictured with the pupils were, from left, the manager Jeanette Nowrung, playgroup assistant Michelle Bacon, and joint supervisor (mornings) Ady Chapman.
