Lynn News Memory Lane Schools: North Wootton Primary School teacher Linda Ecclestone retires after 37 years

A retiring teacher was mobbed by line dancing pupils and staff in July, 2013.
North Wootton Primary School children and teachers put on the line dancing display to say goodbye to teacher Linda Ecclestone.
She had taught each year group at the Priory Lane school where she had spent her entire 37-year teaching career. Miss Ecclestone had been teaching Years 1 and 2.
Headteacher Jonathan Williams said the school had to be sneaky in arranging rehearsals, especially when staff were donning cowboy hats.
He added: “We are sorry to see her go. The children did a wonderful line dance and Miss Ecclestone joined in.”
