New head teacher for Burnham Market Primary School in 2012

Burnham Market Primary School had a new head teacher in Rachel Stroulger in October 2012, when a Lynn News photographer and reporter paid a visit.

And although the school stood slightly outside the village, she was determined to see it at the heart of the community, especially through increased parental involvement.

The relaunched friends of the school group was also busy raising funds towards a revamp of the library.

In the classroom, raising attainment in maths was an early priority – even through music and PE, including this group of children preparing to get stuck into sport.
