Gaywood Primary School pupils put Humpty Dumpty together in 2013

In our weekly Memory Lane schooldays feature we go back 11 years…

Humpty Dumpty was put together from straw by pupils of Gaywood Primary School, Lynn, in May 2013.

Two reception classes created the character for Oxburgh Hall’s scarecrow competition for local schools, which was on the theme of nursery tales.

The children shared the task of stuffing Humpty with straw, which was donated by a parent, then they added gloves, a belt, buttons and braces to finish the hessian-covered entry.

Teacher Maryam Nowrung said: “The children hope he will be a winner when we go to the festival.”
