July 2013: Cubs, beavers and scouts from all generations met to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the South Lynn Scout Group.

July 1999: Borough Mayor Paul Richards was on hand with a shovel when work began on the £4.1m North Sea Haven millennium project to transform Lynn’s waterfront.

July 2008: Were you there? The chart-topping group Atomic Kitten made it a purr-fect night out for this record 15,000 crowd packed into Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place for a spectacular Festival Too finale.
The Lynn News reported: “Atomic Kitten looked and sounded fantastic, chatting to the crowds. After an hour of their hits the girls briefly left the stage before returning for an encore performance of Ladies’ Night.”

July 2009: Springwood High School music teacher Robert Galliard with members of the concert band which performed at St Nicholas’ Chapel in Lynn for a reunion concert to mark his retirement after nearly 30 years at the school.
The first Springwood orchestra had just 14 members and over the years had grown to around 60, having played in front of the Queen Mother and the Queen, toured abroad and performed at London’s Royal Festival Hall eight times.
