LEARN MOREThese staff from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital were preparing to take the stage in January 1982 to present their version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
A cross-section of employees – ranging from nurses to domestic staff – were swapping their bedpans and mops for false beards and grease paint. Written and produced by divisional nursing officer Tony Barlow, the panto ran over four nights with performances for patients, families and friends.
Proceeds, after expenses, were to go towards a £3,500 fund to buy specialised hospital equipment. MLNF-82297
